SOCIETY & WELLNESS Track at the EVOLVE Conference

Saturday, April 19

9:30am - 5pm

What makes us a healthy, mindful, and connected community?

Society:

Our Society track addresses the intersecting issues of access, opportunity, and accountability.  We’ll explore how community involvement can strengthen the bonds between neighbors, fostering mutual support and shared responsibility in each other's lives. Sessions will also focus on systemic challenges like housing, education, criminal justice, and employment, uncovering ways to create equitable access and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in a just society.

Wellness:

Our Wellness track expands the concept of wellness beyond just physical health, encompassing mental, emotional, and social well-being. We'll speak to the many facets of wellness—from fostering a supportive and balanced workplace culture, to embracing alternative healing practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit, to the role of mindfulness in our daily lives. We'll also emphasize the importance of community wellness, focusing on how we can create environments—whether in our organizations, neighborhoods, or networks—that promote connection, inclusivity, and shared growth. Our goal is to put innovative approaches of wellness to work that empower individuals and build a healthier, more vibrant Charlottesville where everyone can thrive.
