Public Voting Open NOW for Tom Tom’s 6th Annual City Art Bus Competition

An impressive collection of entries narrowed down to a stunning top ten, released for a public vote

Tom Tom is thrilled to announce that the second phase of its 2020 City Art Bus Competition is in full swing: the top ten finalists have been named, and the public voting portal is up and running as of today.

The competition drew a wide range of submissions from an international group of artists and designers. In its sixth year, the project is a signature event of the Tom Tom Festival and a celebrated partner event with Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) and JAUNT. The competition aims to transform public transit buses into spectacular moving murals that will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people in the coming year. In 2020, the featured art buses will include a 35′ clean diesel CAT bus and a 28′ JAUNT bus.

Now that the wide range of talent has been whittled down into a top-ten list, members of the public are invited to get involved and vote for their favorite designs. The competition winners will be chosen by combining the results of the public vote, votes from both CAT and JAUNT bus drivers, and insights of a juried panel.

Public voting closes Friday, January 31st, so peek at our finalists’ work and cast your vote for your favorite entry today!
