At the 11th Annual Tom Tom we’re exploring expansive ideas about the future, alongside the creative doers who launch businesses, spear-head initiatives, organize neighborhoods, write policy, create art, and lead organizations for the betterment of our community. It’s about innovations in science, technology, and entrepreneurship; and also how we build community.
IDEAS BY DAY
Throughout the Festival, we connect engaged citizens and leaders around big ideas that educate and inspire. Community leaders from multiple sectors convene for topical conversations designed to facilitate connection and build trust. Partner programs invite community members to share what FUTURE FORWARD means to them.

We believe in having fun, and the Festival is a testament to it. Some of Charlottesville’s biggest and most memorable celebrations happen here, whether it’s a massive Downtown Mall Block Party, multi-genre concerts, or fabulous dance events. It’s all about bringing the community together.
2023 CONFERENCE
Our hometown needs big ideas and passionate people willing to step and bring them to life. Three days of themed talks, workshops, and keynotes facilitate connections, build trust, and inspire action.
